What is MFA
We use multi-factor authentication (MFA) as a secondary security measure when you sign into Microsoft apps like Teams and Sharepoint or other app such as Square.
It is used with online banking when you sign either with an SMS code or an app, so you may already have an app on your mobile phone.
MFA is where you use more than one method to prove who you are when signing in.
Why do we use MFA
MFA is the easiest methods we can take to stop accounts from being potentially compromised, we only use an app for MFA (not SMS or calls or notifications)
