If you dont have a mobile phone for MFA authentication
The IT team can add a browser extension on your PC that can emulate the MFA QR code lookup and authentication without the use of a mobile phone.
Please contact the IT Team if you need to use this method.
Install and using the Authenticator extension:
- Install this extension on the PC, prefer to use a browser that you often dont use such as Microsoft Edge.
- Open the QR Code in the browser that you installed the extension in; do this by right-clicking on the image of the QR Code in File Explorer and selecting "Open with"
- Then select "Choose another app", if your browser isn't there, select "more apps", then select your browser and the QR Code image should open in your browser ready to scan using the extension.
- Click add account, then select the QR Code from above.
- You can retrieve the MFA code once the account has been added through the browser addon.
